OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2025

And Other Plans for November

 

Middle School Christian Fellowship will meet one more time on November 4 for a regular MSCF meeting. The rest of the month will be special events.

 

Christian Fellowship is again going to participate in Operation Christmas Child through the organization Samaritans Purse. With this paper we gave our students the envelope from Samaritan’s Purse. Here’s our plan. Instead of regular MSCF meetings on November 11 and 18, we are doing the following:

• On November 11 we will leave the CF Center at 6:35 and go to Dollar General in Bloomingdale so students can shop for Christmas presents for their child. The students will pay for whatever gifts they purchase. You could also do this separately from CF another time. Students will go home at our usual time of 8:00. Students who are not participating should stay home this night.

• On November 18 we will meet at CF 6:30 to wrap our shoeboxes. That will take the entire meeting time. Again, they will go home at 8:00.

• There is a $10 donation required to cover shipping and other project costs. 

• If a family cannot afford the cost of the gifts and the shipping cost, Christian Fellowship will cover the cost for a group of students who go together to shop and fill a shoebox. This is for those whose family cannot afford this. Not for a family that chooses not to participate.

 

On November 25 we will not have a MSCF meeting. However, on Wednesday, November 26 our high school group does an event called Pie and Praise and we invite our middle school group to join us. On this evening we open our building at 7:15. We will have a time of worship and thanksgiving from 7:30 until 8:30. At 8:30 will have pie together. At 9:00 we will go home. On Tuesday, November 18 we will ask our students if they have a pie preference. Otherwise, our middle school students are welcome to join us on November 26 and there will pie available but probably not too much choice of flavors.

 

In December we will have meetings on December 2, 9 and 16. On December 9 we plan to go Christmas caroling for the Shetler family. The Shetlers are the Amish family that was involved in the terrible accident in August that resulted in their ten year old daughter losing her legs. After caroling we will return to our building until 8:00.

PERMISSION SLIP TO RIDE TO DOLLAR GENERAL ON NOVEMBER 11, 2025

 

My son/daughter named below has my permission to ride with Christian Fellowship to the Dollar General store in Bloomingdale on November 11, 2025. In case of a medical emergency, if you are unable to contact me a telephone number on this paper, I authorize an adult leader of this activity to obtain emergency medical care for my child on my behalf.
